Hey there, I’m Holly!

I’m the artist, storyteller, nature nerd, lifelong gamer, and the human behind Storm Cat.

And like most people with ADHD, I have a habit of collecting interests! TTRPGs, drawing, birds, plants, folklore, video games, worldbuilding, and whatever completely unrelated rabbit hole has caught my attention lately all tend to find their way into my life.

Storm Cat is where I’ve decided to put them.

✧ Who I Am

I grew up in Ontario and now live in northern Alberta with my two cats, Edgar and Maude.

Animals and the natural world have always been important to me. I love birding, plants, wildlife, conservation, and generally stopping whatever I’m doing because I saw something interesting outside.

I’ve also been a gamer for as long as I can remember. These days, TTRPGs give me an excuse to combine storytelling, art, worldbuilding, and an unreasonable amount of thinking about imaginary creatures.

Sometimes I’m excited about dragons, sometimes it’s chickadees, both seem equally important!

✧ Making Things

I draw digitally, write, build worlds, make TTRPG resources, dream up creatures, and regularly start projects that become significantly larger than intended.

By no means is my art style everyone’s cup of tea. It tends to be silly, soft, colourful, and whimsical, with plenty of inspiration from animals, plants, fantasy, and the natural world.

Everything I sell through Storm Cat is written, illustrated, and designed by me. I’d rather create slowly and make things I genuinely enjoy than worry about producing as much as possible

✧ What You’ll Find Around the Blog

Storm Cat isn’t meant to be a perfectly curated publication. It’s my creative journal.

You’ll find TTRPG adventures, artwork, worldbuilding, nature, games, things I’m creating, things I’m learning, and probably more than a few cats.

It’s somewhere I can follow my curiosity and see where it takes me.
