Artwork & Image Use

Storm Cat uses a mix of my own artwork and photography, along with occasional images shared with permission or used under appropriate licenses. This page explains what you’re welcome to do with my work, how to credit it, and how I try to give the same care and respect to the work of other creators.

✦ My Artwork & Photography

Unless otherwise stated, the illustrations, graphics, and photographs created for Storm Cat are my own.

You’re welcome to:

  • share my work on social media with clear credit and a link back to Storm Cat where possible
  • save images for personal inspiration, mood boards, or private reference
  • share links to my artwork and blog posts with others

You may not:

  • use my artwork or photography in commercial projects or products
  • sell, redistribute, or make my work available for download
  • repost my work without credit
  • alter, edit, trace, or claim my work as your own
  • use my work to create products, game assets, logos, branding, or other derivative commercial material

If you’d like to use something I’ve created for a purpose not covered here, please contact me. I’m always happy to discuss permission on a case-by-case basis.

✦ TTRPG Artwork & Resources

Many of the illustrations you’ll see on Storm Cat are created as part of my TTRPG resources, games, worldbuilding, and other creative projects.

Sharing an image or excerpt to talk about, review, or recommend my work is always appreciated when it includes clear credit and a link back to the original post or product.

Purchasing or downloading a Storm Cat resource does not transfer ownership of its artwork, writing, or design unless the product specifically includes a separate license stating otherwise.

✦ Third-Party Images

From time to time, I may use photographs, graphics, screenshots, or other images that I did not create myself. These may be:

  • used under license
  • shared with direct permission
  • sourced from libraries that permit their use
  • included for the purposes of commentary, discussion, or education where appropriate

Whenever possible, these images will be credited near the image or within the post where they appear.

Please remember that my permission to use an image does not give anyone else permission to reuse it. If you’d like to share another creator’s work, please visit the original source and follow their terms.

✦ If You See a Credit Missing

I care about giving creators proper acknowledgement, but mistakes can happen.

If you notice an image that appears to be missing a credit or believe something has been attributed incorrectly, please contact me. I’ll look into it and make any necessary corrections.

✦ How to Credit My Work

If you share my artwork or photography, a simple credit is perfect:

“Artwork by Holly Pawliw / Storm Cat Trinkets & Treasures”

or

“Photo by Holly Pawliw / Storm Cat Trinkets & Treasures”

Whenever possible, please also link back to the original Storm Cat post, page, or shop listing where you found it.

✦ AI & Machine Learning

My artwork, illustrations, writing, and other original creative work may not be used to train, fine-tune, or develop generative AI or machine-learning systems, nor may they be uploaded to generative tools for the purpose of reproducing or imitating my work or artistic style.

✦ A Note on Respect

Storm Cat is a small, one-person creative project. The artwork, writing, and worlds shared here represent many hours of drawing, imagining, researching, writing, and occasionally staring at a blank page wondering what on earth I’m doing.

Please enjoy them, share them with care, and respect the work behind them.

I promise to extend that same respect to the artists, photographers, writers, and other creators whose work I may occasionally share here.
